About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Engine Mechanic to join our team at APS Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. as a Heavy Truck Repair Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex diesel engine issues in heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic and Repair Work: Use computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults or malfunctions in diesel engines and perform repairs as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure efficient repair operations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on diesel engines and heavy trucks.
  • Quality Control: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers and ensuring their satisfaction with repair work.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
  • Skills: Accurate, client-focused, flexible, reliable, and a team player.
