The Engineering Student - Training Department Intern will have a unique opportunity to work in a professional office setting and collaborate with critical team members on the manufacturing plant floor. The student will work as part of a small site-specific Training team to support the facilities training requirements, such as safety training initiatives for the site, taking direction from the Plant 41 EH&S team.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of new Training programs to help Operations, EHS, and Quality Assurance Departments.
- Communicate with outside vendors that provide specialized training.
- Assist with project scheduling and support the delivery of new training methods.
- Develop and support the implementation and utilization of new IT programs, processes, and improvements to support operational growth.
- Communicate directly with plant employees on the shop floor, as well as with management and production supervisors.
- Be eligible to work in Canada.
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout the internship.
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken/written). French is an asset.
- Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.
- Project management skills.
