In addition to your unique qualities, we require the following for this role:

Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar position or with a public accounting firm
  • Familiarity with cost centers for management reporting
  • Interest in process enhancements, automation, and efficiency improvements
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet reporting deadlines
  • Goal-oriented approach to project completion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Sage 300 or similar ERP software
  • Experience preparing year-end files at a public accounting firm
  • Experience in the real estate or senior living sectors

Your Role

  • Oversee full cycle accounting for multiple entities
  • Lead an accounting and finance team
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end closes
  • Review financial reporting packages prepared by the accounting team for senior management
  • Oversee submission of all statutory income tax and HST filings
  • Monitor cash flow
  • Lead special projects aimed at enhancing operational and reporting efficiencies

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the group controller and the finance team.
