OTC Derivative Confirmations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled OTC Derivative Confirmations Specialist to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of security, derivative, foreign exchange, and money market transactions executed globally.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and execute OTC derivative confirmations for interest rate, commodity, or equity derivatives, both electronically and in paper form.
- Communicate directly with clients and internal groups to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
- Contribute to the creation and ongoing execution of effective processes associated with derivative confirmations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory topics and reporting requirements.
- Provide support and deliver specific operational processes to ensure timely and accurate settlement of transactions, including pre and post-settlement support related to account opening, confirmation, cash management, margin, and collateralization.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives, including the development and implementation of new processes and systems.
- Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations, and identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to execute work and fulfill service delivery expectations.
- Typically between 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in OTC derivatives.
- Extensive knowledge of interest rate, commodity, and/or equity OTC derivative products.
- Knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology.
- Knowledge and understanding of the business unit's key products and services, processes, and controls.
