About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Care Worker to join our team at Jelibean Daycare Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Care
    • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
    • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
    • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Administrative and Organizational Tasks
    • Order supplies and equipment.
    • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
    • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Child development supervisor (ECE level 3).
    • Child development worker (ECE level 2).
    • Emergency child care first aid and CPR.
