Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of children. This includes planning and implementing engaging activities, supervising children during play and rest periods, and maintaining accurate records of children's progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Supervise children during play and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, including observations and reports
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote children's learning and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience working with children in a childcare setting
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be required to work a 30-44 hour workweek, with occasional overtime as needed.
