Job Summary

The Fund Development Associate will play a critical role in supporting our fundraising efforts, building relationships with donors, and promoting the mission and values of Janus Academy Society. Key Responsibilities

  1. Support Fundraising Events

The Fund Development Associate will assist in planning and executing fundraising events, including auctions, galas, and other campaigns. This will involve working closely with our development team to ensure successful event execution and achieving fundraising goals.

Donor Engagement

The Associate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with current and prospective donors, including identifying new opportunities for engagement and stewardship. This will involve effective communication, relationship-building, and a deep understanding of our donors' interests and needs.

Development of Fundraising Strategies

The Fund Development Associate will contribute to the development of fundraising strategies and plans, including researching and identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion. This will involve analyzing data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.

Donor Recognition and Stewardship

The Associate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recognition and stewardship of our donors, including issuing tax receipts, developing stewardship materials, and implementing a donor recognition matrix.

Communication and Reporting

The Fund Development Associate will assist in the development of strategic communications, including donor impact reports, newsletters, and other materials. This will involve effective writing, editing, and design skills, as well as a deep understanding of our organization's mission and values.

Requirements

  1. Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, or a related field. A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit organization, is required.

Skills and Abilities

The Fund Development Associate will possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a high degree of professionalism. They will also have the ability to effectively articulate the mission, vision, and values of Janus Academy Society to a wide range of constituents.

Technical Skills

The Associate will have experience with online fundraising platforms, database management, and other relevant software tools. They will also have strong organizational and time management skills, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

Other Requirements

The Fund Development Associate will be required to maintain confidentiality and discretion, and will be subject to a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.

Janus Academy Society offers a competitive salary range of $25.00-$30.00 per hour, with a 16-hour workweek. We are a dynamic and supportive team, and offer opportunities for professional growth and development.
