Position Overview:
The Radiological Society of North America is seeking a full-time, mid-career academic professional specializing in Interventional and Diagnostic Neuroradiology.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must qualify for a full-time clinical academic position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. A strong background in interventional neuroradiology is essential, with the ability to perform a wide range of procedures autonomously, including:
- Ischemic stroke interventions (thrombectomy and stenting)
- Complex aneurysm management (including flow diverters and balloon-assisted techniques)
- Embolization of brain and spine arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs)
- Management of head and neck vascular anomalies and hypervascular tumors
- Venous stenting and complication management
Additionally, the candidate should possess up-to-date knowledge of endovascular devices and catheters.
Collaborative Environment:
We emphasize a collaborative approach to patient care, engaging in multidisciplinary discussions that enhance both inpatient and outpatient services. The successful candidate will work closely with various specialties, including neurosurgery, neurology, anesthesia, and critical care, fostering a strong partnership across disciplines.
Academic and Research Expectations:
Applicants must hold an MD or equivalent, be board-certified or board-eligible in diagnostic radiology, and possess or be eligible for licensure. A minimum of five years of comprehensive interventional neuroradiology experience in a high-volume center is preferred. A proven track record in research and teaching is essential, with academic rank determined by qualifications and experience.
The ideal candidate will have a distinguished academic profile, with a focus on innovation and collaboration with research partners. Preference will be given to those with advanced degrees (MD-PhD, MPH/eMBA) and a strong record of securing competitive grants as principal investigator.
