Starbucks Department Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Starbucks Department Manager to join our team at Longo's. As a key member of our retail leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the Starbucks department to ensure seamless daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, motivate, and mentor Team Members to achieve exceptional performance
- Lead, coach, and train Team Members to maintain high productivity and engagement levels
- Resolve Team Member and customer issues promptly and professionally
- Ensure merchandising and operational standards are met, upholding company policies and procedures
- Manage inventory, schedule, and financial objectives, implementing initiatives to support company goals
- Monitor local competitors and adapt to market conditions to drive business growth
- Provide exceptional customer service to Team Members, customers, and vendors
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Starbucks department with management experience and product knowledge
- Thorough understanding of financials with a proven track record of delivering on financial targets
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems
- Understanding of Employment Standards, WHMIS, Food Safety, and Loss Prevention practices
- Ability to role model and inspire behavior consistent with our values
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with a focus on ownership and urgency
- Effective communication and listening skills, with a creative approach to display design
Work Environment:
This role requires working in a store retail environment, with flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends. Travel may be required to support off-site events.
