Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and oversight of operational and financial management
  • Foster a culture of service excellence and build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives
  • Oversee the financial and budgeting process, ensuring effective management of resources
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and ensure compliance with the Alberta Municipal Government Act

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, combined with significant experience in municipal administration
  • Strong leadership and direction, with the ability to work effectively with elected officials, community volunteers, businesses, and the general public
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and achieving results in building strong team relations
  • Thorough understanding of the financial and budgeting process, as well as the legislative process
  • Experience in implementing development plans, capital works, and infrastructure improvement programs
