Job Summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and expediting receipt of components needed to support production of products at our factories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source components from domestic and overseas vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers, aiming to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and program management to understand demand forecasts and schedule materials accordingly.
  • Perform price verification and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring excellent service and quality.
  • Review and interpret contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Handle incoming inquiries and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Work with the team to resolve nonconformance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, using professional communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary diploma/degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of buying experience, preferably in the electronics industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate level MS Excel skills and ability to coordinate with different departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience negotiating favorable pricing.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
