Interior Health Authority is seeking an experienced Manager, Pharmacy Initiatives to lead our pharmacy technology solutions and related staff. As a key member of our team, you will oversee capital projects, manage capital equipment, and provide leadership and support for departmental planning and implementation of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Services Leadership Team to provide leadership and support to teams in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives designed to improve quality of service, resource utilization, safety, and risk reduction.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate performance indicators for the Pharmacy portfolio. Collect and report performance measures for internal and external audiences.
- Assist and facilitate the implementation of departmental quality improvement initiatives. Provide coordinated monitoring of project outcomes and regular reporting to partner groups.
- Assist the Director in preparing and monitoring capital and operational budgets, in conjunction with departmental goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction for specified projects. Lead and manage projects from planning and design through to implementation and evaluation.
- Act as a liaison with other departments and portfolios on relevant initiatives to ensure inter-departmental collaboration, partner consultation, and strategic alignment.
- Support portfolio leaders by monitoring and reporting on the progress of strategic initiatives.
- Provide management expertise to clinical leaders within the portfolio. Advise on human resources issues, financial management, quality improvement, and related business practices.
- In conjunction with departmental leaders, manage employee grievances and progressive discipline, up to and including termination.
- Collaborate and participate in the development of LEAN innovation opportunities in IH Pharmacy departments and programs.
- Maintain a healthy and safe work environment through complying with and implementing applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, responding to requests from WSBC, identifying hazards and communicating risks, ensuring compliance with employee training, conducting effective incident investigations and implementing required corrective actions.
