Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

As a Data Governance Specialist at Desjardins, you will play a key role in defining and implementing data management processes that ensure the optimal and secure use of data for the benefit of our members and clients. You will work closely with teams to help them recognize and manage data as a strategic asset, and develop data governance practices that are integrated into their activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data governance logs, tools, and dashboards to ensure compliance with governance documents.
  • Help identify the sector's data governance needs and opportunities, and work with teams to analyze risks and potential gaps between governance documents and operational practices.
  • Implement practices and mechanisms to ensure compliance with governance documents, and help measure and monitor the performance of standards and practices in place.
  • Provide data governance support to stakeholders and interact with stakeholders working in other fields to identify needs and present proposed solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of French is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data governance and compliance rules, privacy policies, and security.
