The Ideal Candidate
We are currently in search of a seasoned land survey specialist for local projects in various regions. You will be responsible for conducting a wide array of field surveys, including construction layout, topographic, volumetric, and legal surveys.
Daily Responsibilities
Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to:
- Establishing a network of control points to facilitate comprehensive survey work throughout the project
- Marking working widths, centerlines, and additional workspaces as indicated in project drawings
- Capturing data related to pipe installations, tracking, depth of cover, and other relevant features
- Performing volume calculations
- Reporting on features that may be impacted during construction, including barriers and bridges
- Compiling summary reports on pipe tracking, including installed, waste, and lost pipe, along with tracking each pipe joint
- Engaging in 3D scanning, including modeling and data processing using advanced scanning technology
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in construction surveying is required
- Previous experience in construction or land surveying is essential
- Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a valuable asset
- A diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Technology, or equivalent field experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD's Civil 3D is advantageous
- Registration as a Professional Survey Technologist is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- High dependability and reliability
- A valid driver's license is necessary for this role
