We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at JERUSAN LOGISTICS INC. as a key member of our maintenance team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of truck-trailer systems, and estimating parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Locate faults and malfunctions in mechanical units and test them to specifications.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, and perform scheduled maintenance service.
  • Estimate and Reporting: Estimate parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs, and complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Customer Service: Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification, Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification, and Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
  • Area of Specialization: Engine repair, 4-wheel drive, electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, diagnostics, brake system, hydraulic system, fuel and emission system, auto body repair, plastics repair, auto body painting, welding, and truck-trailer repair.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work overtime.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgment, reliability, team player, and punctuality.
Experience:

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a permanent position and 40 hours of work per week.

Language of work: English.
