Safety Officer Job Description

Hunter Express Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures related to safety and health initiatives
  • Provide training and information to employers, employees, and the general public on safety and health best practices
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Conduct workplace inspections to identify and mitigate safety and health hazards
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent in the field of safety and health
  • Investigate workplace accidents and illnesses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Manage contracts and agreements related to safety and health services
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans to prevent injuries and illnesses
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
  • Oversee the preparation of reports and documentation related to safety and health initiatives
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns related to safety and health
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in a safety and health role
  • Strong knowledge of safety and health regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings, including offices and workplaces
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances
