Safety Manager

Hunter Express Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and control budget and expenditures related to safety and health initiatives
- Provide training and information to employers, employees, and the general public on safety and health best practices
- Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Conduct workplace inspections to identify and mitigate safety and health hazards
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent in the field of safety and health
- Investigate workplace accidents and illnesses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Manage contracts and agreements related to safety and health services
- Develop and implement health and safety plans to prevent injuries and illnesses
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
- Oversee the preparation of reports and documentation related to safety and health initiatives
- Respond to employee questions and concerns related to safety and health
- 5-10 years of experience in a safety and health role
- Strong knowledge of safety and health regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a variety of settings, including offices and workplaces
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Client-focused and results-driven
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 1-2 years of experience in a safety and health role
- Degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety or a related field
