The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Information Management and Technology (IM/IT) department, you will play a critical role in the evaluation, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of information management and technology solutions, projects, and services across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze business requirements to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
- Design, develop, and implement system solutions to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring that system solutions meet user needs and expectations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system solutions, including data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use system solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in an Information Technology, Business Analysis, or Health-Related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Technology, Business Analysis, or Health-Related field.
- 2+ years' experience in application programming, systems analysis, business analysis, or systems support.
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Python,.NET, SQL, and CCL.
- Experience cleansing and standardizing large data sets.
- Experience in data integration between legacy and new systems, data management, information lifecycle, and implementing data standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, including data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage.
- Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology an asset.
- Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP), and/or organizational change management an asset.

- A competitive salary range of $37.61 - $47.01 per hour.
