The Technical Operations Specialist will oversee various domains, including network management, security, desktop support, and server hardware and software. Additionally, they will provide technical assistance to our Axon Software clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and comprehend customer inquiries, feedback, and issues related to the software, documenting all relevant information from phone and email interactions.
- Collaborate with fellow technical support team members and programmers to resolve inquiries and issues promptly and accurately.
- Assist and offer technical support to both new and existing Axon Software users with professionalism and patience.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software infrastructure, including workstations, printers, servers (Windows and Linux), and NAS systems.
- Conduct routine network maintenance and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), including routers and switches, while maintaining control records.
- Manage data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Engage with customers through electronic communication, phone calls, and in-person interactions to identify and document problems, monitor progress, and provide updates on issue status.
- Install and maintain Axon Software on client servers (Windows and Linux).
- Configure and manage Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Systems Technology, or a related field, or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of workstation and server hardware and software.
- Ability to set up and configure workstations and servers.
- Experience in a customer support or service role.
