Security Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team at a high-profile commercial site in Winnipeg. As a Security Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' assets and employees.
As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Planning, directing, and ensuring the smooth operation of security services
- Developing and implementing procedures and policies for security operations
- Maintaining protection systems for fire, theft, and other disasters
- Creating site schedules and tracking training of all staff
- Ensuring the availability of emergency equipment
- Making suggestions to improve and optimize security services
- Access control of entry ways and exit points using equipment at your disposal
- Performing regular patrols to maintain order and establish presence
- Ensuring identified doors are locked and secured
- Enforcing property regulations and city by-laws on the client's site
- Responding to complaints from visitors and staff
- Observing and reporting any issues, deficiencies, or incidents that occur on the site
- Protecting client assets relative to theft, assault, and other safety issues
- Completing daily reports, maintenance logs, and incident reports
- Providing excellent customer service
- Maintaining good staff relationships
- Being the first point of contact for emergency responders
- Daily monitoring of CCTV
- Documentation of systems
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience as a Security Supervisor in a high-profile site (asset)
- 1-3 years of experience in personnel management in a unionized environment
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Valid Manitoba Security Guard license
- Customer service orientation
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and make decisions
