About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at 2444125 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Manage Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Assign Sales Tasks: Effectively allocate sales responsibilities to team members, ensuring that all areas of the store are covered and customers receive a seamless shopping experience.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Authorize Payments and Merchandise Returns: Process payments and returns, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
  • Manage Inventory and Merchandise: Oversee the receipt, storage, and display of merchandise, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that the store is visually appealing.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and optimal customer service.
  • Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and making sales recommendations to drive sales growth.
  • Prepare Sales Reports: Analyze sales data, identifying trends and opportunities to improve sales performance.
  • Resolve Customer Issues: Address customer complaints and concerns, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
  • Organize and Maintain Store Operations: Oversee the maintenance of the store, including cleaning, repairs, and maintenance of equipment and fixtures.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment, responding to changing customer needs and sales trends.
  • Work Under Pressure: Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and achieve sales goals.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the job.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, walk, and move around the store, as well as bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.
Requirements
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: Possess a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role, is an asset.
Language and Work Term
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position.
