Job Details

Position Overview

This role requires physical presence at the designated workplace. Remote work is not an option.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize navigation technology to plan or modify routes, ensuring efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
  • Handle loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Drive and operate heavy-duty trucks for the transportation of goods.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain operational standards for safety.
  • Perform roadside repairs when necessary.
  • Carry out thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
  • Ensure the security and safety of transported goods.
Documentation and Compliance
  • Complete accident or incident reports as required.
  • Maintain inspection and maintenance records.
Equipment and Technology
  • Operate heavy vehicles and utilize GPS and other navigation tools.
Safety and Security Checks
  • Undergo a criminal record check and driving record verification.
  • Pass a drug test as part of the hiring process.
Travel Requirements
  • Employer covers travel expenses.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods, including overnight trips.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
