Job Details- Location: Cambridge, ON
- Salary: $25.00 hourly / 37.5 hours per week
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Start Date: Immediate availability
This role requires physical presence at the designated workplace. Remote work is not an option.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize navigation technology to plan or modify routes, ensuring efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
- Handle loading and unloading of cargo.
- Drive and operate heavy-duty trucks for the transportation of goods.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain operational standards for safety.
- Perform roadside repairs when necessary.
- Carry out thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
- Ensure the security and safety of transported goods.
- Complete accident or incident reports as required.
- Maintain inspection and maintenance records.
- Operate heavy vehicles and utilize GPS and other navigation tools.
- Undergo a criminal record check and driving record verification.
- Pass a drug test as part of the hiring process.
- Employer covers travel expenses.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods, including overnight trips.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Sound judgment and organizational skills.
- Dependability and a strong work ethic.
