Position Overview
SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Field Support Engineer to contribute to our expanding operations within the Rail sector.
As a Field Support Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass daily support activities, including but not limited to:
- Diagnosing issues, implementing modifications, and conducting repairs and inspections across various engineering domains (mechanical, electrical, TCMS features, etc.).
- Assisting the engineering team with on-site deployments.
- Gathering and analyzing data from multiple systems.
- Validating change requests and modifications.
- Demonstrating effective communication skills to interface with internal stakeholders, including the engineering department, as well as external customers, consultants, vendors, and installation contractors.
- Possessing a solid technical foundation across multiple systems.
- Providing necessary field support for activities such as testing, commissioning, and internal assessments.
- Understanding technical challenges associated with various fleets and subsystems under the company's purview and facilitating their resolution.
- Executing system test activities, including breakdown tests, operational tests, mainline tests, and system-level evaluations, in accordance with company standards and project specifications.
- Utilizing test fixtures and adhering to functional testing protocols.
- Identifying operational and technical challenges and contributing to practical solutions and enhancements in system design.
- Completing documentation accurately, including test records, data sheets, marking plans, expense reports, daily logs, and discrepancy reports.
- Conducting installation and testing of field modifications, which may involve working on live circuits and both new and existing equipment.
- Assisting in the installation and calibration of various signaling equipment (such as switch machines, trip stops, track circuits, code systems, etc.).
- Reviewing, developing, and maintaining all technical and engineering documentation pertinent to the service scope.
- Ensuring prompt and effective resolution of safety-related issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in testing Signaling, Train Control Systems, or related Rolling Stock products and system interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with testing equipment (including VOMs, DMMs, voltage meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, and signal generators).
- Familiarity with Rolling Stock products and system interfaces.
- Demonstrated awareness of railway safety protocols.
- Proven troubleshooting capabilities for identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

- Flexibility to work during unconventional hours and extended shifts as required. Work schedules may vary frequently, including holidays and weekends.
