About the Role

The Ottawa Humane Society is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinic Manager to join our team. As a leader in animal welfare, we are committed to providing exceptional care and services to animals in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of our clinic, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for staff, volunteers, and animals.
  • Lead a team of veterinary professionals and support staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure excellent patient care and customer service.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of animal care and welfare.
  • Collaborate with our veterinary team to provide medical care and services to animals, including vaccinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
  • Manage clinic finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local veterinary partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the success of our clinic.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in team leadership and staff development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of animal welfare principles and practices, with a commitment to providing exceptional care and services to animals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
