Family Medicine Physician

Regency Park Family Practice is seeking two Family Physicians to join a collaborative practice of 5 Family Physicians, a Nurse Practitioner, and two Family Practice Nurses. This is a full-scope practice providing care for patients at all stages of life. The clinic operates a duty clinic which is open to the public by appointment. The clinic is fully integrated into the MedAccess EMR system, and supported by 11 administrative staff, an Office Manager, and a Clinic Director. Billing support is provided, as well as EMR training if needed. The practice offers a range of services, including prenatal care, well baby clinics, minor procedures, and psychiatry referrals.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for examining patients, taking their histories, ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, and advising patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention. They will also consult with other medical practitioners, act as a patient's advocate, and prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
Expected HoursFull-time and part-time positions are available.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. They will also require membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
