About the Role:
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and modifying all machinery in the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review daily Work Order assignments and plan, organize, execute, and document scheduled work
- Communicate planned activities and commitments daily at department board meetings
- Perform PM and PdM tasks as scheduled and generate Work Orders for items identified as requiring attention outside the PM or PdM
- Verify that PM tasks address failure modes and recommend changes as part of continuous improvement
- Document in the Work Order system all activities completed for equipment and building assets
- Maintain assigned tools and instruments in good working order
- Review the condition of assigned equipment on a daily and weekly basis
- Perform Standby duties as scheduled
Requirements:
- Industrial Mechanic Red Seal License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Welding/fabrication experience
- Machining experience
- Rigging experience
- Forklift License
- Fall Arrest Certification
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and electronic Work Order systems
