Position Overview

The Construction Painter is responsible for enhancing the aesthetic appeal of various surfaces within the Apple Hotel Group properties. This role involves a combination of preparation, application, and finishing tasks to ensure high-quality results.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing as necessary.
  • Mix paints to achieve the desired color and texture.
  • Apply wallpaper and other materials to walls with precision.
  • Provide expert advice to clients regarding color choices and wall coverings.
  • Set up scaffolding and rigging for safe access to high areas.
  • Estimate material costs and project requirements accurately.
Surface Preparation Skills
  • Experience with drywall taping and patching.
  • Proficient in water and hydroblasting techniques.
  • Knowledge of steam and flame cleaning methods.
  • Familiarity with sandblasting equipment.
Work Environment

This position requires a keen attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination. The ability to distinguish colors accurately is essential. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Weight Handling

Ability to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
