Job Title: Front-End Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Engineer to join our team at VERB Interactive. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces for our web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in regular project stand-ups and sprint reviews to ensure seamless collaboration and communication with the team.
  • Identify and optimize applications for performance and scalability issues to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Collaborate with other development, creative, and product management teams to plan and deliver compelling user-facing products from start to finish.
  • Create and enhance the structure and presentation of efficient, reusable front-end systems that drive complex web and mobile applications.
  • Use test-driven development to write well-tested code and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in code reviews led by senior team members and technical leadership to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Update and maintain the functional and UI aspects of applications to ensure they remain relevant and engaging.
  • Mentor other team members to share knowledge and expertise.
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain cutting-edge.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of JavaScript experience with a strong focus on front-end development.
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in IT Web Programming, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with React/React Native or comparable technologies (Angular, Vue, etc.).
  • Experience with browser APIs and optimizing front-end performance.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS, including concepts like layouts, specifically, cross-browser compatibility and accessibility.
  • Proficient with code versioning (Git, SVN).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and broad knowledge of current and upcoming web development techniques and principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced business environment.
