Job Summary

STI Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
    • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
    • Perform brake adjustments and oversee condition of vehicle.
  • Cargo Management
    • Load and unload goods.
    • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
  • Communication and Safety
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
    • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform preventive maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Will train.
