Forest Protection Limited is seeking a skilled Project Pilot to join our team in Fredericton, New Brunswick. As a Project Pilot, you will be responsible for operating assigned aircraft in accordance with our Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with FPL's Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform all key job duties and any other assigned by the Flight Operations Management team from time to time.
  • Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects.
  • Complete required pre-flight and post-flight paperwork in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Report all items requiring maintenance on the aircraft as soon as possible.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the aircraft at all times.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing.
  • Have obtained at least 1000 hours of total time and 100 hrs multi-engine PIC.
  • Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is an asset.

Operational Requirements:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada and are required to obtain a Criminal Record Check.
  • Have a valid driver's license for travel within and outside the province.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English.
  • Have a valid passport.
  • Have a modern smartphone with an up-to-date operating system capable of running secure company communication apps, as well as a laptop or device capable of accessing email and suitable for reading small print, such as for exams.
  • Have CSA approved footwear.
