Your role and contributions:
- Oversee various tasks related to the development, testing, certification, production, and ongoing support of Avionics Systems for cutting-edge business aircraft.
- Define and manage comprehensive systems and subsystems requirements to ensure compliance with safety, certification, and design objectives.
- Collaborate with system suppliers and other interfacing teams to ensure seamless integration of systems into the aircraft.
- Ensure timely integration of systems, including AFCS, Communication (VHF, HF, SATCOM, Datalink), Navigation (ADF, VOR, ILS, DME, TCAS, Transponder, IRS, GPS, FMS, Weather Radar), Displays (EFIS, EICAS, HUD, SVS), and Information/Maintenance & Recording (IMS, OMS, Data load, CVR, FDR, AHMS).
- Conduct and support ARP4754 system and aircraft verification and validation processes.
- Engage with Certifying Authorities and assist their representatives in achieving system certification.
- Support the Final Assembly Line and address design-related issues for in-service aircraft.
- Participate in the development and implementation of software for customizing crew alerting logic, synoptic pages, I/O configuration in an IMA environment, and automation of aircraft-level functions.
Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:
- A university degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Avionics Systems.
- Proficiency in the specification, design, integration, testing, and certification of Avionics systems on aircraft.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as DO-178, DO-160, and ARP4754 is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and prioritization.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
