Senior Avionics Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering, Avionics professional to join our team at Bombardier. As a key member of our Aerospace Canada organization, you will be responsible for the development, testing, certification, production, and in-service support of Avionics Systems for our state-of-the-art business aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Define and Manage System Requirements: Ensure safety, certification, and aircraft design requirements are met by defining and managing overall systems and subsystems requirements.
- Collaborate with Suppliers and Disciplines: Work with system suppliers, other interfacing suppliers, and disciplines on the program to ensure smooth integration of systems.
- Integrate Avionics Systems: Be responsible for the timely integration of systems, including AFCS, Communication, Navigation, Displays, and Information/Maintenance & Recording systems.
- Conduct ARP4754 System and Aircraft Verification and Validations: Conduct and support ARP4754 system and aircraft verification and validations.
- Liaise with Certifying Authorities: Liaise with Certifying Authorities and/or support their delegates in achieving system certification.
- Support Final Assembly Line and In-Service Aircrafts: Support the Final Assembly Line and In-Service Aircrafts for any design-related issues and bring them to closure.
- Develop and Implement Software: Participate in the development and implementation of software for customization of crew alerting logic and synoptics pages, I/O configuration into an IMA environment, and automation of aircraft-level functions.
- Education: Hold a university degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Avionics Systems.
- Knowledge and Skills: Have knowledge with the specification, design, integration, test, and certification of Avionics systems on aircraft. Be familiar with industry standards DO-178, DO-160, and ARP4754. Possess strong communication skills (verbal and written), excellent problem-solving skills, work planning structure, and prioritization. Be able to work well in a team environment and be willing to travel.
