Position Overview

Join a dynamic team at National Bank as a leader in the Wealth Management and Brokerage Operations sector. Your expertise in management, delivery, support, and application oversight in IT will be crucial in driving positive outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Guide and motivate two teams of analysts and developers, totaling around 15 professionals, focused on asset management applications, including those transitioned to cloud environments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Master Product Owner of the Data train and the Product Owners of the development teams.
  • Facilitate the adoption of SAFe principles and train teams on practices such as ceremonies, expected benefits, and delivery targets.
  • Oversee the delivery of project components that influence our operational ecosystem.
  • Provide essential support to business lines and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to applications.
  • Participate in setting targets for security, cloud migration, and application decommissioning/replacement, while developing a strategic roadmap.
  • Enhance team members' expertise to support technological advancements, particularly in cloud solutions.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to ensure high-performance solutions that deliver efficiency and an engaging user experience.
  • Foster collaboration between IT and Operations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to communicate and implement the bank's standards and norms.
  • Manage applications effectively, ensuring resilience and capacity, while proactively monitoring and resolving incidents to minimize customer impact.
  • Master all stages of the management cycle and ensure effective performance management.
  • Support and mentor employees in their career development.
  • Encourage a culture of learning, team commitment, continuous improvement, and recognition within your team.

Your Team

As part of a larger IT Delivery Wealth Management team, you will report to the Senior Manager. Our team is known for its strong collaboration, mutual support, and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies adopted by the Bank.

Prerequisites

  • Proven experience in an IT Director role overseeing multidisciplinary teams in an agile delivery environment.
  • Experience managing the lifecycle of IT asset portfolios, ensuring availability, operational support, and budget management.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong background in personnel and project management.
  • Influential and inspiring leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the application development lifecycle, DevSecOps tools, and agile methodologies, including SAFe.
  • Familiarity with cloud solutions, particularly AWS.
  • Demonstrated experience in technology infrastructure management and application development.

Language Requirements

Fluency in English and French is essential, as you will frequently engage with service providers and partners who communicate in both languages.
