Position Overview

The Manulife Investment Management (MIM) Advisor Group, part of our Global Wealth and Asset Management division, provides comprehensive financial and investment solutions tailored to clients across various wealth categories.

The Wealth Management Associate plays a crucial role within a team of financial advisors, offering wealth and retirement guidance to our clients. As a member of the Manulife team, you will assist clients from various service channels, including Group Retirement, Group Benefits, Insurance, and Banking.

In this role, you will engage with clients to deliver personalized advice and financial planning services aligned with their wealth and retirement aspirations. Your ability to conduct insightful discovery conversations will be vital in determining when to involve other specialists within the advisory team, ensuring clients receive the most valuable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' financial and life objectives.
  • Deliver investment and financial advice, utilizing our diverse portfolio of proprietary and third-party solutions.
  • Facilitate the acquisition and consolidation of client assets while providing appropriate insurance options.
  • Connect clients with relevant Manulife professionals, including senior advisors, to enhance their experience and meet evolving needs.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing concerns and following up as necessary.
  • Utilize digital financial planning tools to assist clients in crafting comprehensive financial strategies.
  • Exhibit strong client service capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Manulife partners to enhance customer value.
  • Adhere to risk and compliance protocols to protect client assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
  • University degree and/or 1 to 2 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in client interactions.
  • Bilingualism is preferred but not mandatory.
  • MFDA or IIROC license (IIROC preferred with completed Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH)).
  • Life License (LLQP) is required.
  • IQPF designation is preferred or must be obtained within the first two years of employment.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service and advisory experiences.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
  • Positions available in key Manulife offices.

The successful candidate will be required to communicate in both English and French to support a diverse client base.
