Position Overview

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years in a relevant field.

This position is situated within a retail business setting, where the focus is on delivering excellent service and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee staff management and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Analyze market research and trends to assess consumer demand and potential sales volumes.
  • Identify and select products and services for sale.
  • Establish pricing and credit policies.
  • Source and procure merchandise for retail.
  • Devise and execute marketing strategies to enhance sales.
  • Prepare budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Assess staffing needs and recruit as necessary.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and supply issues.
  • Supervise and mentor staff and/or volunteers.
  • Organize, direct, and evaluate daily operations.
Team Management

Responsible for supervising a team of 5 to 10 individuals.

Technical Skills
  • Proficient in point of sale systems.
  • Familiar with electronic mail and spreadsheet applications.
  • Experienced in using MS Outlook.
Work Conditions
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • The primary language of work is English.
