Senior Tax Director Opportunity

Poirier Grandmont, a thriving mid-sized accounting firm near Longueuil, is seeking a Senior Tax Director to lead a passionate team while working on tax missions. In this role, you will be responsible for managing clients with revenues of up to $200 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train a tax team to ensure high-quality work and client satisfaction.
  • Plan assignments and determine staffing needs to meet client demands.
  • Provide clients with value-added solutions based on their goals and tax laws.
  • Conduct advanced tax research and draw conclusions for clients.
  • Participate in presenting results and ensure they meet client needs.
  • Manage the quality of tax team files and maintain accurate records.
  • Establish budgets in collaboration with partners, prepare service offers, and invoice clients.
  • Evaluate tax team performance and identify training needs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 8 years of tax experience in an accounting firm.
  • 3 years of experience as a tax director.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Master's degree in taxation (an asset).
  • Experienced in team management and leadership.
  • Good knowledge of accounting and tax standards.
  • Strong customer service and quick follow-ups with clients.
  • Knowledge of Taxprep software (an asset).
  • Good English language skills (an asset).

Conditions:

  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Salary around $120K-$135K+ depending on experience and type of clients handled.
  • Flexible schedule (availability required from 9:00 to 15:00).
  • Hybrid work (3 days in office, 2 days telecommuting).
  • Summer schedule of 35 hours/week, paid 37.5 hours/week.
