Job Title: Building Automation Systems Specialist

Modern Niagara is seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Systems Specialist to join our Vancouver controls team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of building automation systems in commercial and institutional buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network start-up and commissioning, hardware validation and commissioning, software validation and commissioning, system commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Troubleshoot and commission newly installed Building Automation Systems.
  • Maintain commissioning documentation and keep management, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues.
  • Pursue opportunities to provide added value and efficiency to our customers' building systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of installed systems and for as-built documentation.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years' experience with start-up and commissioning of building automation systems (BAS).
  • Must have experience supporting BAS Control Systems in the Commercial and/or Institutional domain.
  • Must be well-versed in Mechanical and electrical control systems, including heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning equipment.
  • Experience with BAS platforms such as Delta, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Automated Logic, Niagara, Trane, etc.
  • Niagara certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting tools (BACnet Discovery Tool, Wireshark, and/or Visual BACnet) is preferred.
