Geriatrician - Island Health

The Geriatric Medicine Division at Island Health is a team of 11 Geriatricians serving a population of seniors across Vancouver Island. Our team provides clinical support to a robust service, including in-patient and out-patient consultation and follow-up. We work with dedicated interdisciplinary teams in most areas, including a geriatric psychiatrist. Our service is affiliated with the University of British Columbia Island Medical Program, and supports clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical support to a robust service, including in-patient and out-patient consultation and follow-up
• Work with dedicated interdisciplinary teams in most areas, including a geriatric psychiatrist
• Support clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate learners
Benefits
• May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA)
• Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)
• Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
• Flat fee: $9,001
• Fee Premium: 6.09%
• CME: $2,000/annum year 3-4 and $4,000/annum after 4 years in the community
