Our Ideal Candidate

We seek a Civil Engineer with expertise in municipal land development and infrastructure to enhance our Saskatoon or Regina team. The successful candidate will have the chance to lead a team and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of diverse civil engineering projects.

A Day in the Life

  • Oversee a range of projects, including infrastructure enhancements and subdivision developments, focusing on the design and construction of water, sewer, drainage, and transportation systems.
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of Engineers-in-Training (EITs) and designers, ensuring the delivery of both preliminary and detailed design documentation.
  • Conduct project cost estimates, perform analyses and calculations, review designs, and prepare reports, proposals, and contract documents.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Engage directly with clients, team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to clearly articulate project requirements and expectations.
  • Ensure project completion within established timelines and budgets while adhering to high-quality standards.
  • Create comprehensive work plans that outline schedules, milestones, controls, and risk assessments.
  • Proactively address performance, scope, and scheduling challenges as they arise.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or industrial systems engineering (other engineering disciplines are welcome to apply if they have relevant experience).
  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in Saskatchewan.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in municipal engineering and project management.
  • Strong project management, technical, and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient technical writing skills demonstrated through the preparation of correspondence, reports, and proposals.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, including presentation, facilitation, and active listening.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team; capable of mentoring junior engineers and designers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
