Senior Environmental Technician
GHD is a global leader in professional services, committed to solving the world's most complex challenges in water, energy, and urbanization. We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Technician to join our team in Montreal or Quebec.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise fieldwork related to environmental site characterization and rehabilitation, including excavation, in situ treatment, and biopile;
- Supervise fieldwork related to geotechnical studies;
- Conduct exploratory trenching, drilling, in situ geotechnical tests, observation well installations, soil and groundwater sampling;
- Perform water level surveys, biogas, surveying, and permeability tests;
- Supervise subcontractors on site;
- Implement and enforce health and safety plans on site;
- Write field reports and prepare other technical documents.
Requirements
- DEC or AEC in environment, geology, or civil engineering;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (intermediate) or 10 years (senior) in environmental site characterization and rehabilitation;
- Excellent French language skills, both written and spoken;
- Carte ASP Construction;
- Valid driver's license and vehicle;
- Autonomous, methodical, responsible, resourceful, and punctual;
- Available for variable hours;
- Available for work on sites outside the region on occasion.
