About the Role

Hiclass Janitorial Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and health of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weed Control and Pruning: Remove weeds and prune trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Grass Cutting: Cut grass to maintain a uniform height and appearance.
  • Waste Removal: Remove litter and garbage from outdoor spaces.
  • Reporting: Write daily basic progress reports to keep management informed.
  • Plant Care: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure their health and appearance.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including small engine equipment and weed trimmers.
Equipment and Machinery Experience
  • Small Engine Equipment: Experience with small engine equipment is required.
  • Weed Trimmers: Familiarity with weed trimmers and edgers is necessary.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive Tasks: The ability to perform repetitive tasks is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail is required to maintain a high standard of work.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to bend, crouch, and kneel is necessary to perform tasks.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.
