About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Travelodge / Smitty's Restaurant and Lounge. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our kitchen team to manage kitchen operations and ensure seamless service.
Work Environment

As a Line Cook at Travelodge / Smitty's Restaurant and Lounge, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail, physical demands, and repetitive tasks. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet our high standards of quality and service.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
