We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Lead to join our team at COVE. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events and activities related to key programs, including NATO DIANA and Defence Research Development Canada's Seasonal Vessel Tracking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, manage, and execute events, including program kick-off, Outreach Days, and DIANA Demo Day.
  • Manage logistics, ensure seamless implementation of on-site and off-site activities, and collaborate closely with managers.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of various growth initiatives and provide comprehensive support to the Vice President of Growth and the team.
  • Manage and deliver successful events, manage communications, facilitate cohort visits, and provide comprehensive programming support.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications team to contribute to the development and promotion of program communication strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent education and work experience with event management and general administration.
  • 3-5 years managing and executing programs with demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Excellent stakeholder-facing skills and communication abilities.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems and to work without being closely managed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to handle conflict calmly and professionally.
  • Strong digital skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and strong technical skills with the ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
  • Highly motivated, analytical, logical thinker with a very strong attention to detail and the ability to meet multiple and/or unexpected deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative, good judgment, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated ability to recognize risk and proactively mitigate.
  • Solid team player with advanced personal time management skills with a proven track record in planning, implementing and managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with poise and professionalism to interact with clients.
  • Able to work well individually and in a team environment.
Additional Assets:
  • Experience in the marine sector and/or a relevant technology-based industry.
  • Experience with contracting, non-disclosure agreements and other project-related documentation management.
