Educational Requirements- Completion of a non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Training as a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant is preferred.
The role is set within a nursing home or facility dedicated to elderly care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily living activities to enhance patient comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Support patients during meal times, including serving food and assisting with feeding.
- Provide physical assistance by lifting, turning, and positioning patients as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and bedding.
- Support personal hygiene by bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
- Respond to patient calls to assess and meet their needs.
- Administer first aid in case of emergencies.
- Deliver bedside and personal care services.
- Acute Care Nursing Certificate.
- Training in Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP).
- Continuing Care Assistant Certification.
- First Aid and CPR Certifications.
- Nursing Aide and Health Care Aide Certificates.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Availability to start as per the requirements of the position.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Proximity to the workplace is essential.
- Possession of the required certifications is mandatory.
- Current educational status should be disclosed.
