Position Overview

The role of the Accounting Technician involves managing and maintaining financial records with precision and accuracy. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes within the organization.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Work Environment

This position requires on-site customer service, fostering direct interactions with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare payroll cheques.
  • Maintain and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Oversee general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Post journal entries accurately.
  • Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed.
  • Prepare and file tax returns.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
