About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Claims Specialist to join our team at MKA Canada, Inc. in Calgary and Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, quantify, and compile claims related to construction delay, disruption, acceleration, and termination.
  • Conduct productivity claims and manpower and resource assessments.
  • Investigate differing conditions, change order, and alternative design claims.
  • Manage course of construction claims.
  • Calculate direct and indirect damages, general contractor's costs, overhead costs, and escalation.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in claims evaluation, coupled with foundational field experience in project management, construction estimating, and schedule management.
  • Knowledge of CPM, EVM, construction contracts, and their interpretation.
  • Proficiency in standard MS software, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6/P3.
  • Excellent report writing and graphical presentation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AACE Recommended Practices.
  • Expert witness experience and relevant professional society membership are preferred.
