Key Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and evaluate daily programs that promote the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
- Provide guidance and support to children, their families, and staff, while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, and the City of Toronto's Quality Care Requirements.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of children's attendance, medical information, and progress.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes equity.
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent.
- Current RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) Certification from CECE.
- Valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C.
- Health assessment, including up-to-date immunization records and TB test required.
- RECE membership # required.
- Demonstrated understanding of Early Learning Framework.
- Ability to handle emergencies and provide work direction as required.
- Ability to use professional judgment daily within established guidelines.
- Ability to maintain neat and accurate records and prepare reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with children, parents, staff, teachers, and the public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information related to children, parents, and staff.
