Job Title: Senior Network Administrator

Under the direction of the Manager of Information Technology, the Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the development, engineering, and implementation of the network infrastructure, network security, and computer resources.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide systems development and implementation, automation planning, technical consultations, support and training in the operation and use of technology, maintenance of systems, and evaluation of information technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement network infrastructure and security solutions
  • Provide technical consultations and support to IT staff
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network systems and computer resources
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and systems
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to non-senior IT staff

Requirements:

  • Minimum two-year Computer Diploma or three-year Computer Science Degree
  • At least 7 years of work experience in network administration and security
  • Extensive hands-on technical knowledge of network systems, protocols, and standards
  • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices

Working Conditions:

35 hours per week. Ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Director, Administration and Finance. Must possess a Class "G" Driver's License and have access to a personal vehicle. Must complete a criminal records check satisfactory to Dilico.
