Job Title: Sessional Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Lecturer to teach a graduate course in Biotechnology at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

Course Information:

The course, BTC177H5F – Data Science in Health II, is a graduate-level course that focuses on advanced statistical tests in machine learning and data analysis. Students will learn to assemble and validate publicly available code in the R programming language and create their own code as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver a University credit course, including selecting and inviting speakers, coordinating student team projects, and holding office hours.
  • Mark and evaluate student work, record attendance, and submit grades.
  • Communicate with students on course-related matters.
Requirements:
  • Experience in teaching accredited courses at a recognized university.
  • A PhD in statistical methods/biostatistics, and/or mathematics.
  • Advanced coding experience with R.
  • Published research analyzing clinical trial data.
  • Experience working in a hospital environment.
