Job Summary:

The Data Analyst will play a key role in driving business growth and decision-making at Spruce Grove by leveraging data as a strategic enabler. This position will focus on expanding the City's use of data to inform corporate goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement data-driven strategies to support business objectives.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and develop solutions.

• Conduct data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, and usage requirements.

• Establish processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata.

2. Acquisition & Deployment

• Ensure the successful deployment of data solutions across the organization.

• Liaise with vendors and service providers to select products or services that meet business needs.

• Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards.

3. Operations Management

• Work with stakeholders to identify, create, and deliver reports according to requirements.

• Assess and determine governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organization.

• Design and manage data lake improvement and growth projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related field.

• ITIL certification required.
